Jun Li, born in 1991, studied journalism at the Chinese University of Hong Kong and then
took a master’s degree in gender studies at the University of Cambridge. His first directorial feature 'Tracey' (2018) premiered at the Tokyo International Film Festival and second feature 'Drifting' (2021) premiered at the International Film Festival of Rotterdam. As a producer, his feature 'Fly Me to the Moon' (2023) was also selected for the Tokyo IFF. His films focus on the reality of sexual minorities and people suffering from substance abuse. 'Queerpanorama' is his third feature film.
