Lily, 9 years-old, is torn by her parents separation. Her few joyful moments with her father, Serge Jr, are the rodeos in his big Kenworth W900 truck.

When she is taken on a surprise road trip by her father to the biggest Rodeo in the Badlands, far west of Canada, the adventure starts out as a party. But it turns ominous as the landscape changes. Lily soon realizes that there may not be a way back...

Director

Writer-director Joëlle Desjardins Paquette completed her bachelor's degree in film in 2006. After graduating Joëlle has directed several short films that have made a name for themselves on the festival circuit, including PAPARMANE (Canada's Top 10 - TIFF 2012 + Best Comedy Award - Yorkton Film Festival), SANS DEHORS NI DEDANS (Grand prix du jury - Festival des films de la relève 2014) and FLOTS GRIS, which premiered at the International Film Festival Rotterdam (IFFR) in 2016. Alongside her work in film, Joëlle has worked as a television director (DI STASIO, FORMULE DIAZ, LES ARGONAUTES) and in advertising.

STAMPEDE is her first feature film.
